The trend of sustainable business development causes the development of various tools. These instruments are created with consideration of social, environmental and economic aspects. Thus, in order to demonstrate an effective management system and to assess the company’s capabilities and risks for the long term, international rating system have been developed.
Such ratings can be used to select partners and attract investments. As a result, the safety of the company’s activities for the environment and people becomes one of the key factors of business development and this should be taken into account in the strategic planning of the company. Thus, in addition to external interaction, ratings can be useful for internal benchmarking and decision-making.
