Ms. Bev Messinger

We are happy to introduce Ms. Bev Messinger – a speaker on the Opening Session.

Bev Messinger is the Chief Executive of IOSH, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.  IOSH is the world’s largest and only chartered body for safety and health professionals with over 48,000 members in over 130 countries. A registered charity it provides expertise, thought leadership, research and resources globally to reduce workplace fatalities, accidents, injury and disease. Since 2016 Bev has led the organization, launching its 5-year global strategy WORK 2022 in Qatar in 2017. In parallel she has overseen a comprehensive change programme to transform the organization’s culture, operating model and deliver financial sustainability.  This work was recognized in 2019 by the Charity Times. 

A HR/OD professional by background, Bev is a Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and has focused in the last decade on major organizational transformation in local and central government.   

Bev is an experienced Charity Trustee and Non-Executive Director.  She is currently Deputy Chair and Lay Member for Patient and Public Involvement at Northamptonshire Clinical Commissioning Group and is a Board Director on the Council for Work and Health.
